The Gathering Place serves as a hub for receiving and organizing donated clothing and home goods from the local community. They offer these items for sale at reasonable prices and also extend support through initiatives such as Emergency Food Pantry, Disaster Relief, Inmate Outreach, and fostering Interagency Collaboration.

Other services include provided through The Gathering Place include: (1) provides free medical equipment for those in need – such as walkers, wheelchairs, and crutches, (2) provides food, clothing, sleeping bags, etc. for the homeless, (3) assist with clothing and props for children’s theater performances, (4) donates items to Senior Citizens Center, (5) provides suitable clothing for people making a court appearance, (6) donates to special events held by Public Library, (7) assists with items requested for school projects, and (8) serves as an option for court appointed community service.
Emergency Food Pantry
The Emergency Food Pantry provides support to both individuals and families who are unable to access other food sources. It is available at the Gathering Place during regular store hours. Moreover, The Gathering Place offers vouchers for perishable food items as needed.
Liberty/Casey County Disaster Relief
A local affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers support and assistance to individuals affected by fires, floods and other disasters in Casey County. Disaster relief could include non-perishable food from the Emergency Food Pantry, household goods, clothing, as well as vouchers for emergency housing and perishable food. Although it is funded by a separate charity, it is based in and accessed from the Gathering Place.
Inmate Outreach
Provides free clothing and other support for inmates released from regional jail. Provides a positive work experience setting for inmates from regional jail.
Interagency Collaboration
Directs those in need to appropriate services in the community.
